Get Felt Up

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Why do I love these felt rocks? They could be a nice addition to one’s decor. They also bare a striking resemblance to the tucked up Flip and Tumble bags below.

At any rate, aren’t they darling?

GleePeek – Flip and Tumble

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Excuse the absence! My vacationing (and extra day of travel which meant a hotel night in San Juan, Puerto Rico) means that you get your weekly GleePeek fix on Wednesday. Is that what day it is? I am so confused at this point.

Without further ado, Didi is back! She brings us another great eco-friendly design which she recently talked about on her website greenissexy.org (and as I mentioned last week…Didi got a Vogue mention along with Megan!).

Flip and Tumble Bag- I really do absolutely adore this little bag. Just know that having a cute (the colors are awesome), Popple-like bag in your purse at all times is absolutely fabulous and saves you many bags of all kinds. You might think twice to grab a reusable bag when you’re going grocery shopping, but all the times that you didn’t know you’d need a bag (clothes shopping, bringing books home from work, etc etc) is when I truly appreciate it. – Didi

What did Santa bring YOU?

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

I am back on St. John from a VERY brisk Wyoming winter. Those 12 days were definitely enough for me. But OH! What a time it was. I got some of my favorite things ever, and not so surprisingly, things that I’ve talked about on this website (my Jonathon Adler teapot! AbFab DVD set! Hat! Lemon Squeezer!). Also a lot of very cool things that were new to me that I can’t wait to show you all.

Because of the upcoming New Year holiday, I am going to be short on posts yet again this week. So sorry to all of you who check in regularly.

Next week…back in the action completely! Enjoy your holiday. May the year 2010 be most spectacular for you and yours.

Happy and Jolly

I’m taking the day off to play with the kiddies and go through the very long but necessary process of baking cinnamon rolls. Hope you are reveling in holiday happiness!

Much love!

A kitchen from scratch

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

I am a sucker for kitchen goods. These are two things that Angie is considering getting for her brother who has a new place and is starting his kitchen from scratch. I kinda think I need them too. They’re staples!

grater

This grater is a staple in my kitchen, plain and simple.

From what I have heard, this brand makes the best rice cookers on the market. – Angie

flask

I love the looks of this flask. It just looks like business. Like it will be there for you to help in dealing with holiday crowds at the mall, or make that school holiday recital just a little more exciting. Looks like a good gift that most people will appreciate.

Gleepeek – Highlights

Monday, December 21st, 2009

YSLToday is another make-up essential from Megan. I keep buying her suggestions, and they have definitely become staples for me too (see her previously here, here and here). And just in case you need proof of how fabulous Megan is, she made this past issue of Vogue (along with Didi who is another GleePeek contributor)!

Here is her latest and greatest. Yet another addition to my wishlist.

Yves Saint Laurent Highlighter – perfect for post-lunch touch-ups at work or before I head out for the night from the office, without needing to re-touch the entire face. – Megan

According to Tim anyway (I agree too). He gave me one pick for the ladies (his wife, more specifically) and it is Sam Trout tees. Here is a cutie…

Super duper guy finds from Tim, once again. Ladies, if you are looking for a last minute gift, this is for you. Gentlemen, if you just need to get you act together, please read on.

eccoEcco Dress Shoes:  Doesn’t matter the color, doesn’t matter the style. These shoes lookdopp awesome and are comfortable as sneakers.

Dopp Kits/Toiletry Bag:  I used to travel a lot, I still travel a bit.  I have three fully packed toiletry kits with all of these essentials and more.  One for the office/gym, one for travel and one set in my medicine cabinet and shower at home.  It makes it easy to stay so fresh and so clean if all your gear is packed and ready at your fingertips.  It also ensures you’ll never leave town without toothpaste.   Straight up, get yourself a nice toiletry kit and keep it packed all the time. - Tim

Do you love how organized Tim is? I sure do. Thanks Tim for all the spectacular tips!

Dried out

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

So I have arrived in Wyoming after nearly 24 hrs of traveling and a bit of sleep. Now begins the process of drinking the most incredible amount of liquids to try to deal with the complete lack of humidity. I am like a dried out sponge. My eyes don’t blink properly, my nose and lips are crusty. But most importantly, I look like I’ve aged 10 years over night. Bad stuff.

So at this point I am segueing into the ugliest picture I have ever posted on this website…

cupron

Let me just tell you a little something about this picture. The products – pillow case, gloves and eye mask – are from Cupron. They are appearance enhancing, in that they reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles (read the website for the science).

I bought the pillow case at the beginning of summer, because I am of the firm belief that you cannot get enough of a jump on that skin care. Now I wish I had the whole set. What a great gift for yourself! Or for your girlfriends with which you talk endlessly of facial regimens. Ugly picture or not, it is a product I am quite excited (and hopeful) about.
